Day one down
Well, survived the first day at work, but my grey matter is still well and trulyon holiday, two vaccinations and some stitches out the entirity of our day's work. I think we took just enough to cover wages for myself and the nurse! Some excitement at the end of the day when someone brought in a beautiful little python they found in their back yard! It seems healthy enough, though very tame, might even be an escaped pet. Anyway, things seem quite manageable at the clinic I'm at for the next few days. I was alerted to the absence of 'mum' in the photos yesterday, so I added a couple below.

Oh cool... awesome that it seems to have been a fairly peaceful re-entry. ;) Was thinking of you much today and wondered how that went. Hafta caht with you soon. :) :)
Hi Cat, just a quick note to say that i have finally got onto your blog. We havea new computer and it has taken awhile to ge things organised. Good to here that work went well yesterday, you will soon get back into it. We were at NEW last night and we prayed for Di & pete with you, openedour eyes and there she was! Alan , Ron & Marilyn tonight for cards. Luv Mollie.
Hi, Catherine,
Have just got your blog address from Mollie, so have been catching up on your news.
Welcome back to the real world of WORK! I hear your weeks off weren't all relaxing, with wisdom teeth extractions - not nice! Hope it's all healed up well now.
I was the speaker at NEW this week. All well-planned, laptop at the ready with a CD of photos from birth on, and I couldn't hook it up to the data projector. Many phone calls and lots of fiddling around, all very technical, and at last we were underway, only half an hour late (poor Carol, she appeared quite unfazed and relaxed about it all). All seemed to be going well, until I peeked at my watch and discovered I'd been talking for 1 1/4 hours! I was horrified, as my rehearsal at home only took 1/2 hr. I wrapped it up as quickly as possible, but it still lasted 1 1/2 hrs. I was so embarrassed.
As Mollie said, we were praying for you and the Sanders, that you would all have a good time together, when someone walked in, and it was Di! She was so pleased we were running late, as Pete had dropped her off on the way home from the airport (how keen is that!) and she was sure she would have missed most of it. Perhaps God had a reason for the computer messup at the start.
It has been just so warm down here, 28o-30o right through the C'wealth Games, and then last Friday we had a really cold change - windy, down to 5o overnight, and below 20o during the day. A bit of a shock to the system! It's stayed really cold all week, but at least we have been getting some rain - almost 1" so far. Just as well, as my farm dams were getting really low. No such problems up your way, I'm sure, with Lary bringing more than you wanted, along with the devastating winds. Such a tragedy for those who've lost homes and livelihood.
Keep well and happy,
love Marilyn XXX
(by the way, just in case you want to get in touch, my email address in the church address book is wrong - should be
